This is the first year that the kids actually went trick-or-treating! They were very excited...although honestly, they're nearly just as excited to pass candy out to others!
Lars helping Rapunzel get her glittery shoes on.
She DID NOT want a wig for her costume, so I found this braided headpiece at the Disney store, which basically worked (she has such fine hair though that it fell off constantly!)
I was a vampire, which the kids were a little unsure of.
Lord Vader getting all suited up!!
They're so darn cute!!
Ethan ended up going to houses with no light saber ("it's too heavy") and no mask...so he was pseudo Vader...oh well, he loved it!
Lars and the kiddos before heading out.
Ethan was ALWAYS the first one to the door to do the knocking. They did such a great job saying "Trick-or-treat, happy Halloween, and thank you" to everyone. There were also 3-5 minute conversations at every house about decorations, or dogs, cats, or birds that were in the house, candy, costumes, whatever...they're so chatty with everyone, it's hilarious!
I took them down one and a half blocks and headed home, then Lars took them in the other direction. They got quite a lot of loot!
The guy at this house told Ethan that the spider on the door was real...it wasn't funny :o( poor dude, he was really freaked out for a while about it.
A great week of fun for the kids, they really had an awesome time.
