Christmas Part I

We went to Hood River, Oregon for Christmas.  That's where Lars' mom lives if anyone doesn't know that.  The kids did a really good job on the trip up and back, and this was the easiest time we've had with them taking naps and going to bed while not at our house.  It was really nice to have slightly calmer children!

We had our big dinner on Saturday night because Lars' grandparents were heading out of town on the train on Christmas evening and we didn't want to be rushed for dinner.  Tenley picked her outfit, her ballerina skirt and top with her pink winter boots...no socks.

Lars getting Ethan dressed for the day, and belted up so his pants don't fall to the floor.

Oma (Cheryl) discussing the absence of cookies and milk in the morning and the implications of said missing snacks (did Santa come?? and if so, where might he have left the presents???)

Under the tree...perhaps??

Tenley was all over the presents this year, she was pretty sure that all of the presents were hers.  She's also good at sharing and was more than happy to pass gifts out to everyone else.

Casey and Rachel look super awake...don't they?

More presents!!

Rachel and Casey put together awesome gift boxes.  Rachel MADE baklava...holy crap, that's awesome!!  Some of it leaked in the suitcase and we had some honey-covered clothing items, but all the more reason to eat your baklava quickly!!

We all got little sunglasses in our stockings...here they are modeled by the ever-handsome Lars and Ethan.

Sorry, these are totally out of order...from Saturday when we were decorating the tree, these were on Jean's camera and so the numbering was all screwy...sorry about that, still cute pictures though.

Ok, back on track with more Christmas morning pics.

We had a great time and are super happy that Oma wanted to host everyone.  We're having my family's Christmas tomorrow (the 28th...also known as my 30th birthday...ick!) so there will be more pictures coming after that get-together as well.

Hope everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
