A Summer Post

Angela, Ian and I took the kids to a little splash park last weekend. Here are a few pictures from that fun day. It ended really poorly because Tenley is a crazy girl who also lacks good balance, and therefore fell really hard and busted open her lip and both knees...but we'll stick with the light-hearted part of the day:
Ethan is always very very cautious. and didn't do any running around, and very few incidences of actual splashing.

Tenley, on the other hand, is the type to run top-speed through all of the water. Getting hit in the face doesn't bother her...just makes her run faster (which is why she fell so spectacularly hard).

Low water pressure? Check. Predictable spray pattern? Check. Little chance of water getting in your face? Check. This is where Ethan spent most of his time.

One of the few pictures that doesn't feature Tenley running. She's my little dare-devil. We joke that Ethan will be a singer and ballet dancer (he loves to sing and dance, and calls all dancing "ballet") and Tenley will be a base-jumping, cliff diving, mountain-climbing nut (see also: Mommy's heart-attack inducer).
They're pretty darn cute!

I promise to do several posts next week to get all caught up on the past 2 months or so.
