Check-Up

We had our 6 month check-up this morning.

That's a little radio that Auntie Kristi got for the babies for their 1/2 birthday...and they love it.  They did a little playing before taking off to the big bad Dr. office.

Tenley and Ethan making a mess of the paper that covers the examining table.  It's ok though, Dr. Runyon said it's a requirement for 6 month old babies to play with and eat the paper!

Here are their stats for this check-up:

Tenley:  

Weight - 13lbs 14oz. (11th percentile)

Height - 25.5" (40th percentile)

So, she's almost up to average height, but is a bit skinny (Lars and I were both skinny babies, so it makes sense)

Ethan:

Weight - 15lbs 3.5oz. (11th percentile)

Height - 28" (92nd percentile!!)

So, Ethan is very tall, and very skinny.  If this keeps up he'll be a pretty tall boy!  The Dr. suggested a little more eating for him if he'll take it, but I don't think that it's necessary to force feed him. 

They're both healthy and growing (too fast if you ask me).  They're getting more mobile now too, and the Dr. thinks that they'll be crawling in a few weeks, or at least scooting a little more efficiently.  Tenley can roll both directions and turns herself in whatever direction she wants to go.  Ethan hasn't quite mastered the rolling yet (still) but really tries to reach far distances and tries to will himself forward.  

The Dr. asked which one seems to be more aggressive and Grandma and I both agree that Tenley seems to be.  She takes stuff from Ethan and gets in his bubble a lot more often, and it really annoys Ethan.  When Ethan gets in Tenley's way or takes a toy she doesn't seem bothered by it.
